Exercise Your Vote

Being an MEC member means many things – not only do you have access to great gear at great prices, but you have a say in the future of your co-operative.

Members of our Board are elected stewards of MEC and each serve a staggered three-year term with an option to run again for a second term. Each year, three candidates are selected by our members in the annual spring election and announced at our Annual General Meeting.

In taking the time to vote, you are exercising one of the unique features of being an MEC member. Your vote is both a right and a responsibility, and we look to you in choosing our Directors and putting in place the leadership MEC needs to succeed.

During the Election, members also have the opportunity to vote on special resolutions. Special Resolutions can provide direction to the Board, change our Rules of Co-operation, and affect the way we do business.
