Election Results
Results from our annual Board of Directors Election are announced at our Annual General Meeting every spring.
Each year, members have the opportunity to vote for three candidates to serve on our nine-member Board. The candidates who receive the first, second, and third largest number of votes are elected.

2012 Special Resolution Result
One special resolution was proposed in 2012 to amend Rule 11 of MEC's Rules of Cooperation regarding the appointment and duties of the nominations committee. The resolution passed with 91.7% voting in favour.

Back in 1987
The folks at the MEC Calgary store were, well let's just say, independently minded. So when they received their shipment of the mountaineering-oriented board game, Peak Experience, they shipped it back to the distribution centre without even unpacking it.
