How do we measure up?
Central to good co-operative governance is the practice of open communication with our membership.
The Board ensures we uphold this commitment in multiple ways – whether it's sharing information about our governance practices through our website, reporting back to the members at our Annual General Meeting, or publishing Accountability Reports that provide information about our operations and performance.
Annual General Meeting and Annual Report
At the AGM in spring, members have the opportunity to hear firsthand how the Co-op is doing. The Board and Senior Management Team provide reports and present the audited financial statements from the previous fiscal year.

Back in 1988
We sold the Hi-Tec® DKI boots which were named after our footwear buyer at the time - Dave Kunan. These were followed by the Co-op DKII and DKIII boots in 1990. And after Dave left MEC, Hi-Tec produced the XDK boots, which appeared in the summer of 1993.
