What you'll be doing
- Providing administrative support to the CFO including the preparation of reports, presentations, correspondence and ad-hoc requests; co-ordination of meeting schedules and task lists and short and long-term records management
- Providing administrative support for the Finance and Audit Committee, as requested by the CFO
- Providing administrative support to the Controller and Treasurer
- Providing administrative support to the Finance and Administration staff
- Completing necessary paperwork and forward documentation to Provincial Governments for corporate records filing purposes
- Providing cover for Office Services staff
- Coordinating and organizing departmental functions
- Providing support for administration of MEC's insurance program
What you need to do it well
- Post-secondary education
- 3-5 years' experience in an executive assistant position
- Exceptional organization skills and the ability to "keep a number of balls in the air"
- Resourceful, proactive, detail orientated and energetic
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills. French/English bilingual skills considered an asset
- Self-starter, ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
- Tact, diplomacy, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- A passion for outdoor activities considered an asset
- An interest in and an understanding of Finance consider a strong asset

What you'll be doing
- Planning and forecasting marketing campaigns for a specific set of products. This may include seeking out new channels for reaching your target market, planning the media buy with an agency and presenting forecasts and recommendation to management
- Planning and managing the production aspect for all web, print, and multi-channel marketing and communications projects (including advertising but excluding catalogue and signage-related requests), communications and multi-channel production projects
- Trafficking all web, print, advertising and multi-channel projects for Canada and Quebec (excluding catalogue and signage. Includes trafficking and scheduling translation for these projects
- Use Basecamp to plan and traffic all web, print and multi-channel projects
- Completing special projects as assigned. Assessing client needs and determine appropriate marketing solutions that will achieve client’s objectives while aligning to MEC’s business and marketing strategies, and respecting allotted budget.Developing marketing and creative briefs that thoroughly and accurately communicate C&Ms marketing needs to the internal creative team and external agencies. Where possible, validate campaign targeting with market segmentation data and forecast campaign performance based on historical results
- Gathering information and reviewing metrics related to the performance of completed campaigns. Using information to create insights about the campaign’s success and recommendations for future improvements
What you need to do it well
- Demonstrated Project management experience
- 3-5 years related experience. Retail and/or product marketing experience considered an asset.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
- Detail oriented
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements and input
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree is required. Specialization in Business, Marketing or Communications, is preferred, however other disciplines in combination with relevant experience will be considered.
- Excellent communication skills. French/English bilingualism considered an asset
- Experience using software such as Microsoft Office. Experience using Excel to complete marketing forecasts and analyze campaign performance considered an asset.
