Your path: Home / Community / MEC Envoys / Joshua Lavigne
Joshua discovered climbing in the rolling hills of the Eastern Townships in Quebec. At the age of 17, looking for greater adventures, he dropped out of college and flew west on a one-way ticket.
A decade and a half later, he's settled in Canmore, AB, and works as an IFMGA Mountain Guide. The search for the next grand adventure is still a life-long pursuit for Joshua, and the summer of 2012 was a banner year: he made significant first ascents on Baffin Island, in the Bugaboos and in the Canadian Rockies.
My climbing exploits continue the tradition of Canadian alpinists who've redefined the limits of what's possible. This tradition inspires me to maintain the spirit of adventure in all that I do."
