Chic-Chocs Checklist

Renowned for their abundant snow, the Chic-Choc Mountains are the destination of choice for alpine touring in Quebec. The various sectors all offer spectacular scenery and a chance to see the last herd of caribou south of the St. Lawrence. Though the Chic-Chocs offer varied terrain that's accessible to skiers of all levels, rapidly changing weather and avalanche risks are reminders to make safety a priority when heading to take this backcountry playground.
