Buy a new Gift Card

Using MEC Gift Cards

• To redeem a Gift Card online, visit mec.ca, select the item(s) you want to purchase, and click "Checkout." On the Billing page, enter your card number and PIN number.
• To use multiple Gift Cards, please place your order by phone (1.888.847.0770).
• If your Gift Card balance won't cover your web order total, add your credit card details during checkout.
• To redeem a Gift Card by mail, simply mail the physical card or a print out of the email with an order form.
• Membership is required to purchase products at MEC. Recipients of Gift Cards who are non-members may use a portion of their Gift Card to purchase a $5 lifetime membership share in MEC.

Locating Card Number and PIN

• To redeem MEC Gift Cards, you need both the 20-digit card number and the PIN.
• For an E-Gift Card, the numbers are contained in the email that delivered your gift.
• For a traditional, physical Gift Card, the numbers are on the back of the card. If the PIN is not visible, please scratch off the sticker to reveal it.
• If you cannot locate your PIN number, please call 1.888.847. 0770 (or 604.876.6221 in Vancouver).

Terms and Conditions

MEC Gift Cards are redeemable for products or services purchased at mec.ca, by phone, or at MEC retail stores. They cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash.

Your Gift Card is freely transferrable and should be safeguarded like cash. Replacement cards will not be issues for lost, stolen, or damaged cards without a receipt of purchase. Replacement cards will not be issued if the card balance has been redeemed.

If the total of your purchase is less than the value of your Gift Card, you will be able to use the remaining balance for future purchases. If the total value of your purchase is greater than your Gift Card balance, you must provide your credit card details, debit card, cash, or other accepted method of payment to cover the balance.

Gift Cards have no associated fees or expirations dates.

Older existing Gift Cards without PIN numbers are still valid, but can only be redeemed in stores or by mail.
