Corporate and Group Sales

From fleece vests to essential gear for your rescue team, MEC's Corporate and Group Sales Department serves the unique needs of members buying products in bulk. We outfit private and public companies, government agencies, search and rescue groups, clubs, schools, and teams.

We offer a wide range of outdoor gear, as well as gift cards, and specialized equipment for rescue and industrial applications. Our Corporate and Group Sales team looks forward to providing experience-based advice and suggestions. A $5 lifetime membership is all you need to get started.

Purchases

Corporate and Group Sales accepts orders by phone, fax, and mail. Eligibility for group discounts is based on product selection and quantity ordered.

Phone orders can be made during regular business hours. Please have the product numbers of the items you'd like to purchase ready. Our staff have comprehensive product knowledge if you need help selecting products.

Fax and mail orders can be sent any time. Please include your name and contact information so a representative can follow up if required.

Retail stores cannot provide a discount for corporate and group sales membership purchases. You can purchase product on a group membership at full price if you have the following:

• The organization's billing address, and documentation identifying the purchaser to the organization.
• To make a purchase on account, provide the cashier with a copy of the purchase order. (An approved line of credit is required to make purchases on account).
• If your organization qualifies for a tax exemption, provide the cashier with the correct tax exemption number.

Products

Our product selection includes everday gear suitable for students, travellers, and business people. We also carry gear for specific outdoor activities such as climbing and hiking, and technical gear designed for search and rescue and industrial applications. All products available at MEC may be eligible for Corporate and Group Sales discounts, but some exceptions apply, so please contact us for details.

Quotes

We can provide members with a written quote, valid for 30 days, for orders placed through Corporate and Group Sales. Quotes provide a detailed cost estimate that includes discounts and service charges. Unless specified, quotes will not include taxes or shipping charges. Please contact us to request a price quote.

Credit and On-Account Purchases

We offer on-account purchasing to groups who meet our credit criteria. When requesting a line of credit, specify the maximum dollar amount that will meet your needs. Please list all authorized users on your credit application. If you wish to pay by purchase order, check the appropriate box on your credit application. All Corporate and Group Sales members will receive an invoice as a record of any purchase.

The credit approval process can take ten or more business days, and members must pre-pay all orders until their application is approved. Please send us your completed credit applications by mail.

Shipping

Corporate and Group Sales offers a variety of shipping options within Canada, including Priority Courier service. All orders shipped outside of Canada are sent by either Xpresspost or air mail.

Certain products or orders are too large, too fragile and / or heavy to be shipped through the postal system. We will inform you if your order requires extra freight.

MEC's Rock Solid Guarantee

Like many retailers, we guarantee our products; if an item hasn't met your expectations, you can bring it back. Unlike most retailers, we also guarantee the product selection advice offered through our catalogue, website, and staff; if an item you've purchased based on this advice turns out to be unsuitable, you can bring it back. In either case, simply return the item for exchange, refund, repair, or credit.
