MEC Edmonton Store
Learn about Edmonton's Green Building Systems.
Our Edmonton store opened in 1998 in a refurbished Safeway store. Converting an existing building saved construction materials and embodied energy. The store has become part of a revitalized shopping district in the neighbourhood of Old Glenora.

Our mechanics will inspect it, consult with you, and if it needs service, determine the best package value for your bike's condition.

Looking for a place to put your old bike tires and tubes? We have one. It's a bin in our yard that is accessible to the public. When it's full, Alberta Recycling collects them and makes tarmac out of them.
Give your old ropes new life by bringing them to our bi-annual Gear Swap and, in turn, we'll give them to local farmers who can use them for agricultural purposes. Can't make it to the Gear Swap? We have a bin in-store at Member Services for your convenience. Are you a farmer looking for rope? Contact the store at 780-488-6614 to chat about getting onboard our rope recycling program.
