ClubTread is a community-driven outdoor web portal for activities including hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, snowshoeing, and skiing. The site offers an online discussion forum, trip reports, extensive hiking trail database (wiki), gear review system (wiki), GPS downloads, integrated mapping, and a photo gallery.


Bivouac¹

Bivouac (the Canadian Mountain Encyclopedia) was started in 1995 and contains every mountain in Canada, with thousands of photos, trip reports, and trail descriptions. Emphasis is on self-propelled activities. The site offers GPS data, equipment reviews, cabin rentals, courses, paddling, aircraft charters, and links to sources of topographic maps and books.

Trailpeak

Canada's fastest growing trail database, with portals for mountain biking, hiking, climbing, sea kayaking, canoeing, skiing, and snowshoeing. Info is completely free, and each trail supports images, maps, reviews, and GPS downloads. Join the evolution of the guidebook by posting or reviewing a trail, submitting an event, or by volunteering.


Earth Details

This site offers free 3-D topographic maps of Canada. You can zoom into the original resolution, 1:50,000 scale contour maps, and see elevation detail, slope and aspect. Explore the backcountry by searching by name, coordinate, or by navigating the map. Plan routes, plug in GPS waypoints, and share locations with friends.



Vancouver Trails

Vancouver Trails provides hiking and outdoor information on trails around Vancouver, Whistler, and throughout the southwestern British Columbia region. Each hike includes photos, a map, and a detailed description with directions. Difficulty levels, distances, times, outdoors articles, local trail udates, and user comments can also be found on Vancouver Trails.


Ontario Trails Council

Ontario Trails offers a comprehensive trail database. Whether it's cycling through Niagara's wine country, trekking in Algonquin Park, dogsledding through Haliburton Forest or cross-country skiing north of Superior, we'll help you find your trail. The site offers detailed trail descriptions, GPS coordinates, trail news, blogs and even an online store. Have you found a new trail? Add it to the site. Yukon Hiking

The only website dedicated to hiking trails in and around the Yukon Territory. Every trail is complete with trail descriptions, trailhead directions, Google maps, 3-D trail views, photos, and full GPS data. Trails are only added when all information is complete and accurate.
