Bike Shop Services Now Available!

Select MEC stores now offer bike repair services. Our bike shops can provide minor services, such as installing racks and fenders or changing brake pads. We also do basic tune-ups to keep you rolling, or can give your bike a deluxe overhaul if required.

48-Hour Hold

If you want to make sure an item will be available at your local MEC, call the store before you visit. We will gladly put it on hold for you for up to 48 hours.

Rentals

If you are new to an activity – whether it's backpacking or mountaineering – you don't have to buy the equipment to try it. We'll rent you quality gear in good condition at fair rates. All of our stores have comprehensive equipment rental programs.

Ski Shop Services

We have fully qualified backcountry ski technicians working in each store to mount bindings and do additional work on your telemark, alpine touring or snowboarding equipment.

Recycling Services at MEC

Batteries

We will recycle batteries that were bought at our store. You can drop them off at our Member Service Desk and we'll take care of them, but please don't bring any that are broken or corroded.

We do customized lectures and store tours for groups interested in learning about outdoor gear, trip planning, corporate responsibility or environmental sustainability practices.
