MEC delivers fair prices every day. We operate to cover
costs and stay in business so you get great deals on exceptional gear.

We will match any price you find for the identical item in the regular local retail market. See your local store for details.

In addition, we don't have sales. That is, we don't reduce prices on selected items for a while, then jack them back up. If you need it today, you can buy it today.

We do offer clearances on products, sizes, or colours that we are discontinuing. The difference between this and a sale is that an MEC clearance is a one-way street: once we've reduced the price, that price applies until all the stock is gone, and we will never again sell the item at a higher price.

Currency Changes and MEC Prices

Prices on goods from the US and other countries are generally negotiated months in advance. The timeframe of these negotiations does not allow us to respond to rapid changes in the value of currencies. By virtue of MEC having a lower margin than other retailers, the prices we set are already comparatively low.
