Technical garments, designed for specific activities have features that aren't always adaptable to general use. For example, cycling clothing is longer in the back and arms. Activity aside, the fit of MEC clothing falls into these categories:

Arms (A)Bend elbow gently, then measure from centre of back of neck out to point of shoulder, down to back of elbow, and forward to wrist. Chest / Bust (B)Measure fullest circumference, keeping tape up under arms and across shoulder blades. Hand (C)(Knuckle circumference) Measure around a flat hand at knuckles, do not include thumb. Also measure hand length from the base of palm to end of middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size. |
Head (D)Measure circumference above brow ridges and above ears. Height (E)Stand with back straight; measure from highest point on head to floor. Hips (F)Stand with feet together and measure at fullest circumference. Inseam (G)Measure inner leg from crotch to below the ankle bone. Neck (H)Measure circumference at base of neck.
