Kindar grew up climbing everything in sight – the walls, the roof, the monkey bars, you name it. Seeking a more stable playing field, his parents took him to a climbing gym when he was 9 years old and he instantly fell in love with the sport.
He joined the competition circuit at the age of 11 and has been on the rise ever since. He’s constantly blown away by the level of passion and sportsmanship that the sport displays.
His proudest moments include winning the Youth B lead climbing Canadian championship, taking silver at the Canadian National Youth B bouldering competition, and winning the bronze medal for Youth B lead climbing at the Pan American Championships.
This is Kindar’s first year competing in the open category and he’s enjoying the new challenge as he works to improve on the world stage.
“I love the competition and I love how everyone helps each other, even when we’re competing against each other.”
