Louis’ passion for alpinism and mountaineering stems from a life spent in the outdoors. His climbing career began when he started rock and ice climbing at the age of 15. Since then, he has completed several expeditions in the Andean Cordillera, Alaska, and such acclaimed summits as the first Canadian ascent of the 8125m Nanga Parbat in the Himalayas.
His deeply rooted ambition to climb numerous peaks over 8000m has led to a prolific life of adventure. He currently lives at the base of Mont Saint-Anne, and continues to push the limits of climbing on both a local and an international scale.
“In my climbing career I never needed to climb mountains to collect them. The most significant for me was always friendship, adventure, helping others and how I climb to be in synergy with the alpine environment.”
