High Point Race Series Cancellation FAQ

As you know, COVID-19 has affected how we can safely recreate together in groups. Given these evolving guidelines, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 High Point Race Series.

Due to the extraordinary circumstances associated with COVID-19, MEC is making an exception to our refund policy and will be providing all race participants with a refund of their paid registration fee. Registered race participants will receive an email from MEC regarding the refund process.

Thank you for choosing to run with us. We hope to see you out on the trails, racing again soon.

No, we are not transferring registrations. At this time, we are providing refunds for cancelled events, as we do not know the future of our MEC High Point Race Series.

The email I received said I will be refunded my race fee automatically– how does that work?

To make the refund process as easy as possible for participants, we worked hard to automate the refund process. Race participants do not need to do anything, and the refunded amount will appear on your bank statement within 8 weeks. Please be sure to wait the full 8 weeks (until September 21, 2020) before reaching out to MEC.

What should I do if I don’t see the refund on my bank statement within 8 weeks of receiving the email?

Please ensure you have double-checked the bank statement associated with the card in which the registration payment was made. If you still do not see the refund, please reach out to the MEC Service Centre Team.
