Films
23.4 Degrees
Film Synopsis: Journey with professional skier Anna Segal across the valleys, forests, boulder fields and summits of British Columbia, as she explores her affinity with seasonal change and the role it plays in connecting our modern lifestyle to the natural world.
The ephemeral (fleeting) seasons that punctuate our year come courtesy of the Earth’s elliptical orbit around the sun, and the tilt of its axis – 23.4 degrees. This poetically phrased short film explores the transformation of mountain landscapes and how humans are both internally and externally affected by these changes
Unlikely Duo
Film Synopsis: Tom Peiffer and Eric Carter are both world-class competitive skiers—but in completely opposite disciplines of skiing: Eric is a former US National Team skimo race athlete, and Tom is a former Freeride World Tour competitor. And yet, as they have progressed beyond competition in their respective disciplines, their paths have converged. As they set out together in search of rarely skied descents, they find strength in their differences, and come to understand that there’s more to a successful partnership in big terrain than meets the eye.
The Power of Positivity with our athlete panel
Want to become a climate advocate but don’t know where to start? We’ve mobilized our friends at POW Canada, Arc’teryx, pro mountain athletes, ambassadors, and outdoor industry professionals to lend their voice to a national movement for climate action. Together we’ll discuss climate advocacy, the power of positivity, the effects of climate change in the local mountains and snowpack, and the power of community in creating change.
Expect an hour of laughs, climate change chats, and stoke for all things snow
