Watertight and wind-stable construction, generous floor and head room, excellent venting, windows, and the option to rig a veranda roof made our original Frontenac tent a huge hit with base camping /canoe tripping families. This second generation version keeps all that goodness, while simplifying the pole system for easier set-up.
Four adults can sleep on the main part of the floor. Two triangular nooks each accommodate a small child. Near-vertical walls make every inch of the floor usable. A myriad of mesh in the canopy, combined with scoop vents in the fly, allow cross-ventilation that minimizes breath condensation even at full occupancy. Front and rear vestibules can be opened at the side or centre to adapt to prevailing winds or local landscapes. The front vestibule centre panel can be rigged as a veranda roof for ventilation, food preparation, play, or just hanging out.
