A classic Prospector is probably the best all-around wilderness tripping canoe ever. This extra-long version can carry substantial amounts of gear and grub, while keeping you and your stuff dry in non-technical white-water. Its extra length lets it track better on flat water than shorter versions (though at the cost of some manoeuvrability in white-water.) It’s also a great choice for those who want to do shorter trips in high style or with the whole family on board.
