New Balance WT10V2 Trail Running Shoes - Women's
Wear a shoe that reminds you why you love trail running. Without an insert, and minimal midsoles and outsoles, you get about as close to the dirt, root, and gnarl as someone wearing shoes can. But don't feel like you need to tiptoe around the sticks and stones – lightweight foam in the midsoles provides just enough of a separation to keep you comfortable. A wider forefoot allows your foot to expand naturally on impact, and a redesigned forefoot band provides support without constriction.
Acteva foam is 12% lighter than standard EVA and has better compression resistance for durable cushioning.
- Quick drying uppers are breathable synthetic mesh with stretchy synthetic forefoot bands to keep the foot naturally in place.
- Midsoles combine low-profile Acteva foam (12% lighter than standard EVA) with poly-olefin elastomer for the minimalist feel of natural running with a degree of protection.
- Outsoles are low-profile, Vibram® for trail-worthy grip without weight and bulk.
- 4mm drop, 9-5mm heel to toe cushioning.

Some shoes include added motion control or stability features to help minimize pronation or supination, where the foot tends to roll inward or outward in a biomechanically imbalanced running position.
The approximate thickness of the midsole cushioning under the heel and the forefoot. A thicker heel and greater difference between heel and toe height tends to suit heel-strike runners, while forefoot and midfoot strikers may prefer a minimal drop between heel and toe cushioning.
|9 - 5mm|
The drop is the difference in height between the heel and the forefoot midsole cushioning. Traditional running shoes tend to have a 10mm drop or higher while minimalist style shoes are on the lower end of the spectrum.
Waterproof shoes and boots feature a waterproof-breathable membrane and a gusseted tongue to help keep your feet dry in wet conditions.
