Show Description

Training for triathlons or racing them, this is what you want on your wrist. The Fenix 2 GPS supports swimming indoors or out, and transitions seamlessly through running and riding. It’s compatible with power meters and pairs to either an ANT+ or Bluetooth device. And it has the navigation and weather tracking smarts to make you a canny backcountry operator as well as a kickass athlete.

  • Tracks distance, pace and heart rate.
  • Calculates recovery time and VO2 max estimate (when used with a heart rate monitor).
  • In an indoor pool, internal accelerometers determine stroke and distance based on end push-offs and entered pool length. In open water, both accelerometer and GPS are used.
  • Supports treadmill running with or without a footpod. Without a footpod, the internal accelerometer determines pace and cadence based on data from your outdoor GPS runs. Also good for running in GPS-blocked areas.
  • Full ANT+ power meter compatibility, including support of the newest left/right and related metrics for power meters from Garmin, ROTOR and others.
  • Multisport mode allows smooth transition from Swim to Bike to Run (or back).
  • Configurable screens let you display the data you want and ditch what you don’t.
  • Resume Later function turns off GPS to save battery life.
  • Caches satellite location data downloaded via USB with Garmin Express or via Bluetooth Smart and Garmin Connect Mobile app for super-fast satellite acquisition.
  • Ski-Board mode automatically tracks skiing/snowboarding runs based on when you board a chairlift.
  • New button layout lets Forerunner users transition easily.
  • Full altimeter and barometer functions, plus a 3-axis electronic compass.
  • Compatible with Garmin Tempe external temperature sensor.
  • GPS functions include breadcrumb trails for backtracking, with the ability to mark up to 1,000 waypoints and store up to 10,000 track points and 50 routes.
  • Compatible with free BaseCamp software for trip planning and sharing.
  • Displays notifications from Bluetooth 4.0 mobile devices, including text message, email and Facebook comment alerts.
