Show Description

When you've whittled your alpine rack down to a crucial 7 pieces, this jacket still earns a place in your pack. The lightweight synthetic fill compresses down to a wad that's small enough to ride along on your harness. Slide it on at the belay so you're comfortable at your stance even if your partner gets off route and has to downclimb half the pitch. A streamlined cut with stretch panels under the arms add enough ease and venting that you can wear the jacket on the move when conditions turn unruly.

  • Face fabric is Pertex Quantum nylon that's wind-resistant and treated with a DWR finish to shed light rain or snow.
  • Stretch woven Schoeller polyester panels under arms add mobility.
  • Insulated with PrimaLoft Gold®, a compressible, water-resistant microfiber that dries fast and retains warmth when wet.
  • Adjustable hood has stretch panels that conform to your helmet and allow you move your head without raising your jacket.
  • Insulated storm flap behind zipper.
  • 2 zippered hand warmer pockets, the left one doubles as a stuff sack. Single external chest pocket.
  • Low-profile stretch binding at cuffs.
  • Drawcord hem seals in warmth.

A windproof garment does not allow any air to permeate the fabric. A garment with windproof panels has panels of fabric that are totally windproof, but the rest of the garment may not be windproof. A wind-resistant garment resists some wind, but not as much as a garment that is windproof.
