MEC down sleeping bags have been popular for decades and are known for prices that are waaay cheaper than comparable options. The Delphinus line uses high-end down and tightly woven Pertex nylon that sheds moisture and prevents the down from working its way out. We added a section of vertical baffles over the chest to keep the down in place, so you won't create a cold spot over your core as you shift around during the night. And we're testing them with the EN standard, the most dependable standard available for temperature ratings.
- Pertex Microlight ripstop nylon shell has a DWR treatment to shed moisture and a tight weave to retain down.
- 30-denier woven nylon lining.
- Insulated with 650 fill power duck down that meets the Responsible Down Standard for animal welfare.
- Vertical baffles over the torso prevents cold spots by ensuring the down won't shift as you move.
- Medium-width cut hits the sweet spot between room to move and thermal efficiency.
- Hood and shoulder drawcords have different profiles, so you can tell them apart in the dark.
- YKK #8 zip connects to most other MEC bags.
- Draft tube keeps heat in and cold out.
- Small internal pocket for a headlamp or your contact lenses.
- Stuff sack and large storage sack included.
- Women's version is slightly wider around the hips, shorter, and has narrower shoulders so you're not losing heat to empty space. Extra insulation at the chest and around your feet.
