Show Description

A lightweight system that filters 1.75L of water per minute. It's a low-effort option that needs no pumping. Simply fill and raise the reservoir to let gravity and the polymer fibres in the filter remove 99.99% of all bacteria and protozoa.

  • Polyurethane-coated Cordura® reservoir has a food-grade lining that won't add a plastic taste.
  • Roll-top closure and a clear viewing port graduated to 4L.
  • Hoses are silicon.
  • Hollow fibre technology uses polymer fibres to create a high-surface-area filter that allows water to flow quickly through a 0.2 micron effective pore size.
  • Nominal 1500L filter life is for clear water, turbidity will reduce its useful life to 1000 to 1200L.
  • Universal bottle adapter and clean-side cover allow filter output to 63mm standard bottles and most other containers or reservoirs.
  • Quick-connect adapter on the reservoir allows easy filling prior to filtering.
  • Clip-style shutoff valve on the output hose lets you swap our containers easily.
  • Easy to maintain in the field by back-flushing. Reverse the flow by elevating the filtered water above the water collection reservoir.
  • Do not allow the cartridge to freeze after initial use.

Filter type

Water can be treated using various types of filters, chemicals or non-chemical purification methods, or a combination. Filters on their own will not remove viruses as they are too small.

Hollow fibre technology
Output 1.75L/min
Dimensions 15 x 10cm
Cartridge life

The life of the filter cartridge is based on the quantity of water you can treat before the cartridge is no longer effective. This does not apply to battery operated or chemical filter systems.

Filter size

A 0.5 micron or smaller filters protozoa and some large bacteria; 0.2 micron or smaller filters smaller bacteria such as campylobacter.

Effective against protozoa

Protozoa are larger than one micron and include cryptosporidium and giardia.

Effective against viruses

Most viruses are in the 1.0 micron size range, but they can be as small as 0.002 microns.

Effective against particulate

Particulate consists of very small bits and pieces such as dirt or bugs.

Effective against bacteria

Bacteria can cause illnesses such as diarrhea and dysentery and are about 1.0 micron in size, although some can be as small as 0.2 microns.
