Description

Show Description

If you often run a paved section to get to the trails, these firm shoes offer solid support. Once you get onto bumpier terrain, the toecap protects your foot and allows you to blast through the rocky sections. The sole has deep, 5mm lugs for bite, plus all-terrain rubber that grips wet or dry surfaces.

  • GORE-TEX® membrane provides reliable waterproof-breathable performance.
  • Profeel Film toecap provides impact protection in rocky and rooty terrain.
  • Quicklace™ system creates a comfortable and secure fit with one quick pull.
  • Dual-density compressed EVA midsole provides a firm, supportive feel that pays off on long, demanding runs.
  • EVA sockliner adds some cushioning.
  • Contagrip® outsole tread provides tried-and-true grip on all surfaces, with aggressive 5mm lugs.

Feel

'Minimal and natural' shoes offer low drop, lots of flex, and minimal cushioning. Most running shoes are 'Light and responsive' with medium cushioning and good energy return. 'Cushioned and floaty' shoes have maximum cushioning.

Light and responsive
Stability

Some shoes include added motion control or stability features to help minimize pronation or supination, where the foot tends to roll inward or outward in a biomechanically imbalanced running position.

Upper material Synthetic
Closure Quick pull
Heel-to-toe cushioning

The approximate thickness of the midsole cushioning under the heel and the forefoot. A thicker heel and greater difference between heel and toe height tends to suit heel-strike runners, while forefoot and midfoot strikers may prefer a minimal drop between heel and toe cushioning.

25-17mm
Drop

The drop is the difference in height between the heel and the forefoot midsole cushioning. Traditional running shoes tend to have a 10mm drop or higher while minimalist style shoes are on the lower end of the spectrum.

8mm
Waterproof

Waterproof shoes and boots feature a waterproof-breathable membrane and a gusseted tongue to help keep your feet dry in wet conditions.
