These soft shell pants are the latest in a proud line of stretchy, breathable and very water-resistant commuting solutions from MEC. They'll do the job in everything short of full-on rain and are far more comfortable than a hard shell pant in most riding conditions. Cut more like pants than tights for freedom of movement and with an abundance of reflective hits for added safety, you may find this is the only commuting pant you need.

A windproof garment does not allow any air to permeate the fabric. A garment with windproof panels has panels of fabric that are totally windproof, but the rest of the garment may not be windproof. A wind-resistant garment resists some wind, but not as much as a garment that is windproof.
