These winter commuting–specific tires are equipped with 140 studs with carbide tips that make your trip to work or school over black ice much faster and safer. The centres of the treads are tightly packed to provide low rolling resistance, while the edges are knobby and studded for amazing traction.
- Studs feature a dome-shaped carbide tip with a steel base for durability.
- 140 studs are distributed along the edges to help you stay upright on slippery commutes.
The bead holds the tire onto the rim. Beads may be hoops of wire, or made of a flexible material which allows them to be folded compactly. Folding tires are easier to store or pack on trips.
