Have the numbers to back up those epic climbs, screaming descents and quad-killing sufferfests. Garmin packs more into the Edge 130 than any other compact bike GPS. At roughly the same size of your very first bike computer, you get GPS-based speed and distance, barometric altimeter-based ascents and descents, navigation through courses setup through the free mobile app (or Strava), plus you stay connected as your 130 handles smart notifications and alerts. The internal antenna connects 3 different satellite constellations, a first for any Garmin unit. You get standard GPS satellites, GLONASS satellites and for the first time, Galileo satellites. Multiple networks give you a fast connection and a strong GPS signal wherever you are. Pairing it with the free Garmin Connect app running on your smartphone opens up a whole new set of features. Garmin Connect lets you review activities, plan courses, set up live tracking sessions, receive notifications, control certain apps and more. Strava live segment integration (requires Strava premium) uses the power of your smartphone to show you nearby segments as you ride. On-the-fly integration means that you no longer have to pre-load your segments, though starred segments will still appear like they usually do. Should you want to know more about how you train, Garmin has a range of sensors that pair with your 130 to help you train smarter.

  • Internet Live Tracking during activities (through a connected smartphone) allows you to share your location and metrics with friends, family or coaches.
  • Strava Segment integration – both preloaded and on-the-fly (through connection with your phone) – lets you know when your starred segment is about to begin, shows instantaneous data and then provides results once the segment is complete (requires Strava premium).
  • Connects to GPS, GLONASS and Galileo satellite constellations for fast signal acquisition and a strong connection nearly anywhere.
  • 5 customizable pages, with up to 8 data fields per page, let you see what you want, where you want it.
  • Connect IQ lets you download configurable data fields, like the GU Fuel Reminder and the Strava Suffer Score.
  • Extended display mode lets you pair your Fenix 5 or Forerunner 935 to your Edge 130, enabling you to mirror your watch’s information on your 130 – great for triathletes.
  • Navigate through courses created or downloaded through Garmin Connect Mobile (wireless) or Strava (wired).
  • Breadcrumb trail navigation tracks your ride, letting you ride back the way you came, or navigates you to a saved location (as the crow flies – there are no maps for routing).
  • Smart notifications (emails, texts, alerts and more) via Bluetooth connection to a compatible smartphone.
  • Automatically sync your data to paired smartphone running the free Garmin Connect app.
  • Compatible with all smartphones featuring Bluetooth 4.0 (iPhone 4S or higher, and Android 4.3 or higher).
  • Connects with ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart sensors, from heart-rate belts, to speed and cadence pods, power meters and more.
  • Works with Garmin’s Varia line of bike lights and radar units.
  • Emergency assistance mode lets you trigger an alert that uses the connection to your smartphone to send your location and a request for help to a select group of contacts.
  • Barometric altimeter helps you track your ascents, descents and total elevation changes.
  • Crisp memory in pixel display is easy to read, even in direct sunlight.
  • Internal memory stores up to 100 hours of activities, 15 courses and up to 100 locations. Garmin Connect stores all of your activity data.
  • Intuitive 5-button interface is easy to use in any weather.
  • Rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up 15 hours in GPS mode.
  • In the box: Edge 130, standard mount, tether, charging cable and documentation.
