It all began in the mountains of Hokkaido, Japan when Kalle Norman saw the locals at the ski hills wearing unbranded, bright orange winter boots. Kalle took a few pairs back home and they were a hit, everyone was looking to grab a pair. He soon filled his apartment with backstock to sell them, and that’s when his friend Christofer Ljunggren suggested they start this business together.
Officially launched in 2019 as FUBUKI (which translates to snowstorm), Kalle and Christofer purchased the design of the boots and have tweaked them to make the comfiest, warmest and lightest winter boots.
The lightest, brightest boots
FUBUKI winter boots offer fun, bright colors that match your own unique style, or basics like black and white if you prefer to stick to neutrals. Their boots are fully waterproof and windproof with a drawcord at the top to seal out snow and slush.
Designed for those who spend their days on the snowy mountains or trek around in the cold, FUBUKI boots have a thick fleece lining to keep you cozy in the coldest temps and wick away moisture. They keep you stable on slick ground or wet snow thanks to an aggressive rubber tread and a reinforced ankle with a shock-absorbing heel (talk about a triple whammy).
