About Fjällräven
Fjällräven combines timeless Scandinavian design with quality manufacturing to deliver clothes made to last. Launched in Sweden in 1960, Fjällräven takes its name from the Swedish arctic fox that thrives in even the harshest of conditions. The company’s goal is to help you do the same – no matter what the forecast has in store.
Fjällräven outdoor clothing is designed to make nature more accessible. Its legendary G-1000 fabric stands up to scrambles over rough granite and blocks out wind and rain. Fjällräven hiking pants have articulated knees for easy movement over varied terrain. Tough hiking tights have reinforced patches for bushwhacking and pockets big enough for your phone. Fjällräven jackets range from lightweight shell to stormproof parka, ready to keep you warm and dry on weekend wanders and Canadian winter commutes.
Since the beginning, Fjällräven has aimed to make functional, long-lasting clothing and gear with a lower environmental footprint. The company prioritizes renewable materials like recycled wool, organic hemp and Tencel®. In 2012, Fjällräven said nej (that's Swedish for "no") to PFCs, chemicals used in water-resistant coatings, and they continue to work to remove PFCs from all Fjällräven gear.
