It’s all in the name — Hyperlite ultralight packs are great for hauling gear on all kinds of outdoor pursuits. From shorter-duration day hikes to peak bagging journeys, an ultralight pack will keep your load light and your essentials right where they should be. To learn more about making the switch to ultralight gear and the materials Hyperlite uses to shave grams off their packs, read on.
Ultralight and ultra-reliable
Founded by avid backpacker Mike St. Pierre, Hyperlite was born out of his desire for ultralight gear that’s just as durable as it is lightweight. That’s where Dyneema® fiber comes in. Dyneema is 15 times stronger than steel, despite being only one-thousandth of an inch thin. Hyperlite uses a hybrid of Dyneema composite fabrics and polyester face fabrics in their packs, which gives them a great balance of lightness, durability and waterproofing.
