About PEARL iZUMi
PEARL iZUMi's first cycling jersey was crafted by their founder Kinji Shimizu in 1950. Decades later in 1983, they crafted their first chamois made from synthetics, making the riding experience for cyclists more convenient, comfy and affordable.
Today, each chamois inside PEARL iZUMi cycling shorts is designed with pressure-mapping tech to provide comfort and support where you need it most, while reducing unnecessary bulkiness.
PEARL iZUMi goes beyond their iconic jerseys and cycling shorts, offering technical and stylish cycling shoes, cycling gloves, bibs and any gear you’ll need for a successful commute to the office or intensive training for your upcoming race. PEARL iZUMi continues to innovate so you can ride comfier, drier and faster.
Changing the course of climate change
PEARL iZUMi is on a mission to get more people cycling, because more cycling means less commuting by car and better outcomes for the environment.
On top of cycling advocacy, PEARL iZUMi makes cycling gear that lasts and is easily repaired, with less need to replace old gear or toss it to the landfills. They’re also working on eliminating single use plastics from their packaging.
