MEC Ferrata Pants - Men's

Show Description

Great all around pants for use in nearly any backcountry situation – summer or winter. The abrasion-resistant fabric sheds snow and light rain and stands up to the abuse of alpine scrambling. The fit is reasonably close; somewhere between snug pants and generously cut tights. The legs have a slight taper to minimize bulk and keep them streamlined.

  • Made of breathable nylon for superb abrasion resistance, blended with spandex for stretch.
  • Fully welded seam construction minimizes abrasion and potential for chafing.
  • Stretch waist with integrated webbing belt and fly front.
  • Zippered hand pockets and right thigh pocket have mesh pocket liners to add venting options.
  • Articulated knees for excellent mobility.
  • Drawcord hems cinch to boots, keeping snow out.

A windproof garment does not allow any air to permeate the fabric. A garment with windproof panels has panels of fabric that are totally windproof, but the rest of the garment may not be windproof. A wind-resistant garment resists some wind, but not as much as a garment that is windproof.
