BOB Stroller Recall for Information on Quick Release Skewer Use and Associated Possible Fall Hazard

If you purchased a BOB Stroller produced between 1997 and 2015, available for sale until 2016, Health Canada and BOB have announced a recall of all stroller models sold during this time period. The recall is informational and directs you to watch a short video detailing proper use of the strollers’ front quick release lever. Purchasers are offered a choice of two options to replace the quick release mechanism at no cost. You may also choose to accept a discount toward the purchase of a more recent BOB Stroller model.

For information, or to take advantage of BOB’s offers, please visit the Health Canada Recall Page or the BOB Recall Information Page. You’ll need to watch the entire video on BOB’s recall information page to see or take advantage of their offers (approximately nine minutes long). Please note that the video mentions a different timeline for eligibility than stated here and in Health Canada’s Recall. The Health Canada Recall covers a longer period than the information campaign currently underway in the US.

MEC realizes that due to the extent of time that this recall spans, you may no longer have the stroller you purchased. If you have passed the stroller on to someone you still have contact with, please share this information with them.

If you have further questions, please get in touch with our Service Centre at info@mec.ca or 1.888.847.0770 (ask for Returns).
