MEC Tremblant Jacket Recall (Youth Sizes Only) for Removal of Waist Drawcord

The design of the drawcord on this jacket is not in compliance with Canadian drawcord guidelines and poses an entrapment risk if the drawcord, toggle or cord lock should become stuck on something.

MEC is asking that you remove the drawcord, toggles and cord locks to bring the jacket into compliance with Canadian consumer guidelines. To do this, you will need to cut the drawcord and the webbing that holds the cord lock to the hem of the jacket. Follow these steps:

Identify your MEC Tremblant Jacket (Youth Sizes)

Pull the drawcord tight on one side of the jacket (it doesn't matter which side), then cut the drawcord near the cord lock. Pulling the drawcord tight will make it retreat into the hem after you cut it. After you cut the drawcord, release the cord lock and pull the drawcord ends through it.

Before you cut the second side, pull the middle part of the drawcord out from the hem of the jacket to remove it completely.
