We’ve been notified of a recall on several models of Sea to Summit Alpha and Sigma Pots and Pot Sets sold between January 2019 and November 2020. The recall affects one variety of the latch mechanism on the pot handle (there are three varieties). The affected latches are made of black nylon and have no screws. Pots that have a metal latch or a black nylon latch with a screw are unaffected by this recall.
Sea to Summit asks that you stop using your pot or pot set until you perform a simple inspection. Visit the Sea to Summits Recall Portal to find out how to inspect your Alpha or Sigma pot. The information includes pictures of all three latch mechanisms, and instructions for receiving a free retrofit kit to use if your latch is affected. If your pot has an affected latch, please don’t use it until you can complete the retrofit. Health Canada has also posted a recall announcement for these products.
