Price matching

To qualify for price matching, the following rules apply:

• Membership required: You must be an MEC member and have made the original purchase using your membership.
• Guest purchases are not eligible for price matching.
• Non-members cannot price match to member pricing.
• Members who purchased within the last 30 days can price match to a lower member price.
• Non-members who become members can price match to member pricing within 30 days of their original purchase date.

The lower price must be available for purchase at the time of your request.

In-store visits are encouraged where possible.

To qualify, all the following conditions must be met:

Product Requirements

• Identical product: Same brand, model, year, season, colour, and size.
• New condition: Not seconds, refurbished, opened, pre-owned, or damaged.

Retailer Requirements

• Sold and shipped by a Canadian-based retailer.
• Price must be in Canadian dollars. Price must include all mandatory fees (e.g., shipping, environmental fees), but excludes taxes.
• Product must be available for immediate purchase at the advertised lower price through a regular retail channel.

• The price must be advertised or ticketed. Verbal or unadvertised prices are not eligible.
• MEC staff must be able to verify all price match details (online, phone, flyer, etc.).
• Price matching cannot be combined with additional discounts or special offers.
• Purchases made with the intent to resell or in violation of our Terms of Use are not eligible for price protection.

Price Matches Do Not Apply To:

• Special orders
• Pricing errors or misprints
• Liquidation sales
• Close-out or final sale items

MEC does not price match:

• eBay
• The Last Hunt

MEC may also exclude certain deals or sales at its discretion.

Some brands establish a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP), which is the lowest price retailers may publicly advertise.

Occasionally, MEC may sell products below MAP for a limited time. We are committed to offering fair and consistent pricing.

If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to an error, MEC reserves the right to cancel or reject orders for that item. We may contact you for further instructions or cancel your order and notify you.

Clearance items may include discontinued products or items in limited supply.

Special buys or discounts may apply to:

• Over-purchased products
• MEC-specific or vendor-discounted items
• Seconds-quality items with minor imperfections (disclosed before purchase)
