Frequently asked questions

 

  1. How long does shipping take?
    If you’re using Standard shipping (free for orders over $50), Canada Post says it will take 3-12 business days, depending how far your item has to travel. Express shipping will get your parcel home in 3 business days, and Priority shipping takes 1-2 business days.
  2. Where’s my order and how do I track it?
    We process and ship orders in the order we receive them, usually within 24 hours. As soon as we ship your order, we’ll send you an email with a tracking number so you can follow its progress. Use the Canada Post tracking tool to track your parcel, or click on the tracking number in your Order History in your MEC account.
  3. What is your return policy?
    All products from MEC are backed by our Rocksolid Guarantee:
    “We guarantee the quality of our products. If the quality of an item hasn’t met your expectations, you can bring it back. We also guarantee the product selection advice we give. If something you purchased based on this advice turns out to be unsuitable, you can bring it back for an exchange, refund, repair, or credit.” Please refer to our returns page for more information.
  4. Why do I need to be a member to shop at MEC?
    We’re a co-operative, and part of that means that we can only sell to members. Learn more about co-op membership here.
  5. I’m trying to create an account. Why won’t the form accept my email address?
    Your email address must be in standard email format (John@gmail.com). If it’s still not working, please make sure this email isn’t already registered for an MEC.ca account.
