KEY POINTS & INTENDED USE

A lightweight, compact, and comprehensive water filter for theweekend or occasi

onal user. A fibreglass-based main element themakes the unit effective against p

rotozoa and all bacteria, including Campylobactor, larger than 0.2 microns. Const

ructionemphasizes convenient operation, and replacement of modularionsections, r

ather than access to user maintainable parts.

A pressure relief valve prevents filter rupture in the eventof clogging. Activa

tion of this valve indicates a need foreither slower pumping or element cleaning

.1.25L per minute flow rate under optimum, clear waterconditions.Lightweight pla

stic body and component parts.Comes with two different-coloured silicone hoses,

waterbottle adapter (for most wide-mouth and narrow-mouthbottles), and a carryin

g bag.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT?

Lighter and more modular than a MSR unit.

CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN

0.2-micron absolute filter with activated carbon to improve taste. A PressureRe

lief System prevents filter rupture and bacteria "push through" by divertingwate

r under excess pressure to an exit port. Also includes 75-micron stainlesssteel

hydrofoil prefilter.Flow rate: 1.25 litres/min. w/new cartridgeCartridge life: u

p to 200 gallons/750 litres (approx. 100+ cleanings)Elimination: in its final st

age, 99.9999+% bacteria & protozoan parasites; 97-99.5% waterborne v

iruses.A 75-micron, mesh stainless steel prefilter removes largedebris at the mo

uth of the intake hose and can be

combined with the provided foam float.Fibreglass labyrinth main element is rate

d to 0.2 micronsand can be easily scrubbed clean when clogged. Filterlife is 757

litres under normal use, although this can bereduced markedly if used with turb

id or silty water. Acoloured scrim indicates need for cartridge replacement. An a

ctivated carbon stage, a component part of the mainelement, reduces concentratio

ns of chemicals such asiodine, and reduces tastes and odours.
