Rash guards and sun-protective layers

The reflective surface of open water greatly increases UV exposure. The breathable fabrics used in rashguards and sun-protective swimwear allow you to stay covered up without overheating or having to reapply sunscreen. If you’re a performance paddler, dragon boater or kayaker, opt for styles that are cut loose through the arms and shoulders to allow a range of movement.
