How to give your bike some TLC
A bike that gets a little love and care lasts longer, is safer to ride, and saves you money in the long run. If you wait for something to wear out or break, it could mean a more complicated repair job (or leave you stranded on a ride). MEC has what you need for simple maintenance, like chain cleaners, pumps and lubricant. If you’re a more experienced mechanic, we also have repair stands and tools from Park Tool and more.
Cleaning your bike chain
One of the simplest ways to keep your bike running smoothly is to learn how to lube and clean your bike chain. In general, a clean bike is a happy bike, so if you foresee muddy or wet rides in your future (mountain bikers: we’re looking at you), learn how to wash your bike too.
Pump up your tires
