KEY POINTS & INTENDED USE

Much like the Traditional #8 except with a drop point blade & curved handle,

this is a general purpose, traditional Frech folding pocket knife, with

rotating locking mechanism,for all round camp use, whittling and food

preparation. Stainless steel blade which is relatively maintenance free but

slightly harder to sharpen than carbon steel blades.

The Opinel cannot be easily flicked open. It has a thumbnail slot but is

tradionally opened partially with the famous "Savoyard Knack" (a sharp tap of

the back handle end on a table top) to free the blade for easy opening.

Once the blade is opened the locking mechanism can be engaged for safe cutting.
