Description

Show Description

Designed to be tough and protective, this generation of the popular Cascadia should see you through many kilometres. The characteristics of a superior running shoe are blended with the toughness of an off-road shoe. Features an updated full-length midsole that provides a flexible yet supportive platform, and a deluxe heel crash pad to give you smooth heel-to-toe transitions.

  • Uppers are made of synthetic microfibre overlay with moisture-managing mesh and lining.
  • Closed-cell hydrophobic foam in tongue and heel prevents water absorption when you’re on wet trails.
  • Protective overlay in toe and forefoot.
  • Full-length sock liners.
  • Midsoles have full-length S-257 Cushole materials, plus a gel-like fluid that stays flexible under low impact and strong under high impact, to provide an efficient cushioning layer.
  • BioMoGo co-polymer foam also disperses impact, and provides better rebound and durability than conventional EVA.
  • Segmented caterpillar crash pad in the heels gives your feet the right amount of cushioning and stabilization, allowing for a smooth transition.
  • Uniquely shaped integral pivot structures are incorporated in the medial and lateral rear midfoot and lateral forefoot to minimize force on the sides of the shoe when running on uneven terrain.
  • Outsoles are durable non-petroleum dispersed silica compound for excellent wet-dry traction. Lug structure provides good uphill/downhill traction.
  • Subtly bevelled heel lugs help to ease the foot into a neutral gait upon heel strike.
  • Neutral platform with slight guidance balances minimalism and cush.

Stability

Some shoes include added motion control or stability features to help minimize pronation or supination, where the foot tends to roll inward or outward in a biomechanically imbalanced running position.

Heel-to-toe cushioning

The approximate thickness of the midsole cushioning under the heel and the forefoot. A thicker heel and greater difference between heel and toe height tends to suit heel-strike runners, while forefoot and midfoot strikers may prefer a minimal drop between heel and toe cushioning.

20-10mm
Drop

The drop is the difference in height between the heel and the forefoot midsole cushioning. Traditional running shoes tend to have a 10mm drop or higher while minimalist style shoes are on the lower end of the spectrum.

10mm
Waterproof

Waterproof shoes and boots feature a waterproof-breathable membrane and a gusseted tongue to help keep your feet dry in wet conditions.
