Not all storms are bad. Black Diamond has taken its already impressive flagship headlamp and improved it, adding a rechargeable battery and more lumens. The streamlined light head has a dedicated mode button and a nice bump in lumens, the Storm 500-R headlamp is the most advanced version yet. Signature features like smooth dimming, PowerTap™, flood and spot lighting, and a red, green and blue night mode are now even easier to use. For 2022 Black Diamond releases their R series, adding a rechargeable option to many of their most popular models. Having an easy to recharge headlamp makes “good enough” batteries a thing of the past.
