About Blue Ice
In 2008, a group of passionate mountaineers got together with the goal to improve their equipment and work towards developing the types of products they needed to do what they loved. Fast forward to today, and Blue Ice is an industry leader in alpine equipment, based in Les Houches in France with a North American office in Salt Lake City.
Back to basics
Blue Ice takes a straightforward approach in product development. Their focus on bringing things back to basics means they’re putting out mountaineering gear that’s both light and highly functional, giving you exactly what you need without weighing you down.
Blue Ice climbing harnesses are a prime example of this philosophy. They offer the full features of a reliable mountaineering harness while keeping the weight down. Their climbing bags offer similar benefits, specialized for alpine climbing and kept ultralight. And when it’s time to dig in on your ascent, Blue Ice’s selection of ice tools and crampons will keep you tethered.
Environmental action
Loving the mountains means taking care of them for future generations. As a member company of 1% for the planet, Blue Ice has made caring for the environment a part of their business model, donating 1% of their total revenue to environmental non-profits.
