KEY POINTS & INTENDED USE

With the Cagua 6500 series Ghost is embracing the 27.5" (650B) wheel size that

is becoming a fast favourite with all mountain riders. The big benefits of the

27.5" are the smooth roll and enhanced traction normally associated with a 29"

wheel, but with the agility and maneuverability typically only found on with a

26" wheel; the 27.5" is a best of both worlds size. Shimano SLX and XT

components keep your gear shifts tight and fast; the Shimano rear derailleur is

the XT Plus, what this means is there is a one way ratcheting cam that prevents

your rear derailleur from banging around while bouncing down technical terrain.

While the big Shimano SLX disc brakes keep the velocity control precise. Ghost

has paid special attention to the brakes on the Cagua 6540 putting a 203mm

rotor up front and a 180mm in the rear; ****Page Down****

this combination of mismatched rotors is often done as an aftermarket upgrade

by those interested in some serious stopping power but is stock on the Cagua

6540. The 6540's Fox front suspension features Fox's Climb/Trail/Descend (CTD)

3-position quick adjustment lever that allows fast on-the-go adjustment whether

you are climbing, on level trail, or descending. The rear suspension of the

6540 is handled by X-Fusion's O2 RCX with 155m of travel. Ghost has packed the

6540 with tech as well; the frame features many of Ghost's proprietary

technologies like: their tapered head tube, specific chainstay length, and a

press fit bottom bracket to name a few.

Features Ghost's THT technology, the tapered head tube broadens towards the

bottom leading to better force transfer from the fork to the frame. The

increased stiffness of the tapered head tube lead to the bicycle's improved and

more direct steering.

Features Ghost's SCL (specific chainstay length) principle: Chainstay lengths

actually grow with their respective frame sizes. The ratio between chainstay

lengths and wheelbase always stays the same. This yields a noticeable

advantage: perfectly balanced riding performance regardless of how tall you

are.

Bearing shells are directly pressed - and not screwed - into the bottom bracket

housing without requiring an extra aluminum insert. The increased housing width

results in increased stiffness and improved stability.

Features Ghost's Needle Bearing System which ensures super sensitive rear

triangle performance. The technology is both simple and ingenious. The needle

bearings are located in the damper eyelet, replacing commonly used bush

bearings, and ensure a minimum break-away torque. The low torque results in an

outstanding responsiveness to even the smallest bumps.

The Ghost Cagua 6500 series also utilizes continuous cable housing decreasing

the areas for dirt and grit from getting in and effecting shifting performance.

Features Ghost's Smooth Ratio suspension, with smooth ratio suspension the

rocker activates the shock with a transmission ratio of 2:1. This means that

the suspension element moves by 1 cm for 2 cm of travel at the chainstay. The

suspension operates noticeably more sensitively and is much easier to tune.

Also, the operating friction forces are much lower because the damper requires

less air pressure. In addition to the immensely improved sensitivity, this also

ensures more durability.

For the Cagua 6500 series Ghost utilizes their hydro forming technology to

create a custom frame that does not use standard tube sets. This allows Ghost

to customize all aspects of the frame tuning the bike precisely to their

engineer's specifications.
