**IMPORTED FROM AS400**

KEY POINTS & INTENDED USE

This is a completely new bike, the 2013 Origami is a Tern bike. New features of

note: new frame, 7-speed hub, over 8-speed on older Origami.

The 2013 Origami is a true evolution from the previous Origami; featuring a

Tern frame and parts. Tern is known in the folding bike world for their solid

frames that provide a flex-free ride, this frame is stiffer, has improved

hinges over the Dahon, and is more durable over the long-term - gone are the

creaking noises typically found on folding bikes. The Origami comes completely

equipped with fenders and a rear rack so it is ready for your wet weather

commutes. The Origami uses a Shimano Nexus internal gear hub (IGH).

One of the great benefits of an IGH on a folding bike is that it makes for less

exposed grease and oil, making your folding bike cleaner and less likely to

transfer gunk elsewhere. The 2013 Origami is a fantastic option for those

looking for a bike where space is a concern whether it is for the daily commute

in an area with no safe bicycle storage, or condo living.

technologies found on the 2013 Origami.

Joshua Hon, son of Dahon founder David Hon, founded Tern Bicycles in 2011.

Although the two companies produce similar looking products, Tern folding bikes

use an improved hinge design and nicer components to offer a line of folding

bicycles that are not only more easily serviced but generally provide a

superior ride quality.

N-Fold Technology

Folding bicycle design hasn't changed much in decades. N-Fold Technology is a

small but important change that results in a faster, and more compact fold.

N-Fold Technology includes new frame and handlepost geometries and spins the

front wheel by 180 degrees before the central fold, resulting in a package 40

mm (1.5") shorter. ****Page Down****

FBL 2 Frame Joint

The FBL 2 Joint incorporates the best features and technology from the

award-winning OCL design: forged construction, interlocking interfaces, and

patented Floating Point technology to avoid damage in transit. The FBL also

incorporates two bearings in the construction so that the joint is always

smooth and easy to operate. No planned obsolescence here - we've planned in

serviceability: if ever the bearings need replacement, it's an easy ten minute

job by a dealer with industry standard-sized bearings that we'll ALWAYS have in

stock.

Q-Lock Handlepost

The Q-Lock is strong: it exceeds tough European EN standards for strength and

durability. The Q-Lock is also safe and easy to use. Close the handlepost lever

and the AutoLock engages, holding the lever in the locked position. Forged 6061

aluminum.

BioLogic PostPump 2.0

The BioLogic PostPump, is a full-size floor pump hidden inside a seatpost.

It pumps a much higher volume of air and the pumping action is easy, just like

a floor pump, because you are using your whole body. And because it's hidden in

the seatpost, it's always ready when you need it. The completely re-designed

2.0 version is slick and has an integrated Schrader and Presta adapter.
