KEY POINTS & INTENDED USE

A simpler version of the Pieps DSP Pro (5034-087). It's a basic 3 antenna

beacon for up to 2 burials.

Major differences: Sport has strip search width of 45m compared to 55m for

Pro. Mark function for multiple burials on Sport allows max 1 sender while Pro

allows 4. Maximum range of Sport is 50m while Pro is 60m. Sport is green with

green lettering on carry case. Pro is black with yellow lettering on carry

case. Pro has an inclinometer, Sport does not.

CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN

General features:

- Strip search width is 45m without turning and rotating. Maximum range is 50m.

- Self-check feature tests transmitting frequency, all antennas, amplifiers,

processers and batteries each time you power on.

- cable sold separately to update the firmware on your own Mac or PC

- Transmission frequency is 457kHz (EN300718).

- Battery life is minimum of 200h in send mode.

- Temperature range is -20C to +45C.

Send Mode features:

- Auto-antenna-switch switches automatically to another antenna if one

experiences interference (from metal or another electronic device).

- Signal adjustment - adjusts signal if two devices are buried close together -

this allows rescuers to more easily distinguish between the two devices.

- iPROBE support - can be activated by the Pieps iPROBE.

initial detection.

- 3 antennas allow for pinpoint searching.

- Picks up signals even from transceivers transmitting at the edge of the

standard EN300718 range.

- Old device mode allows the beacon to recognize older devices that can

interfere with the mark function and indicate them as such.
