From the vendor: “For outdoor adventurers who want to test their run endurance on technical trails. The Caldera is a responsive shoe that provides energy and a stable ride even as fatigue sets in. Equipped with a sticky rubber outsole, lugs that allow the shoe to flex and ample ground protection. This lively trail shoe can go the distance through any ups and downs.”

From running warehose.com: “The Brooks Caldera is designed to be a responsive, well-cushioned, ultra distance trail running shoe. It is thicker under the forefoot than any other Brooks trail shoe. This allows the shoe to provide long distance cushioning and rock protection. But with just a 4mm heel-toe offset, this shoe is somewhat light and stable. The stability you feel is further enhanced by a broad base.”
