Classic oval carabiner with a slight upgrade/redesign - BD added a keylock nose for snag-free clipping or unclipping. Oval biners are great for racking gear due to their large, symmetrical basket, or for aid climbing as the symmetry reduces the chance of your aiders or slings from shifting. The downside to ovals is that they weight both sides of the carabiner equally (spine and gate), meaning they are not as strong as more popular asymmetrical biners such as D (or modified D) shaped.
